Any tips on moving to a completely new country?

Pretty soon, I'm moving to Vancouver Canada. I'm in my Junior year in High school, and we are being forced to move due to family problems. does any body know how to survive all of this… i like where i live, because i am the vice president of certain clubs, i am the Secretary of other clubs. I am also the top flute player at my school. I'm afraid that i'm going to have to leave all of my dedication and accomplishments here where i live.

Vancouver is a very nice city. You will always have a lot of good memories of the place you're leaving, but will make new friends and build more memories where you're going. You don't have to be the vice president or secretary of a club to be a valued member … and certainly, your talent for the flute derives from you not from where you live – that will stay with you where ever you go.
I have moved many times including moving from the US to Italy on short notice. My experience has been that while every place is different, each has it's own unique character and there are always interesting things to see, do, and learn. Look at this as an opportunity rather than a problem.
